Born in 1988 in Wuwei, Anhui, China, Ji Songlin is a multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Lille. His artistic practice encompasses painting, sculpture, video, and photography.
Ji Songlin wore the uniform and this experience deeply influenced his work by shaping his critical perspective, pushing him to explore the absurdity of repetitive daily actions.
Through his series of digital photographs, which re-photograph his existing pictures or, in his own words, “memories" and “moments”, Ji Songlin delves into the fragmented nature of memory.
